Sugie Yonemura, 96, of Kailua-Kona died April 4, 2013, at Kona Community Hospital. Born July 7, 1916, in Hookena, she was a housewife, worked as a coffee farmer and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kealakekua Ward in Kailua-Kona.

Friends may call at 8 a.m. April 27 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kealakekua Ward for a 10 a.m. service. Luncheon and fellowship follow in the cultural hall. Burial is at Kona Memorial Park in Holualoa. Family requests casual attire be worn. Flowers are welcome.

She is survived by son, Edwin (Pamela) Yonemura of Kailua-Kona; daughter, Kay (Raymond) Brasher of Kailua-Kona; sister, Yaeko Okabayashi of Captain Cook; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
